Apparently scientists have put another dent in the Creationist view of things by finding good evidence that stars generate strong magnetic fields that slow a star’s spin down if disks are surrounding the star which may form planets later on. Apparently, Creationists are arguing that stars should have all the momentum from when they were created with no proven way to distribute momentum to surrounding planets or debris in the star’s disk. From what I read from the Creationists, most of the time they’re pushing holes in the lack of understanding of science to go “See! This means God did it!” in the good old God of the Gaps issue without actually doing any work to actually understand the issue that much.
Read about it from Bad Astronomy here.
